  ACCESS

SEN Opportunities puts children and families at the heart of decisions.

However the charity supports families through schools rather than directly.

Trustees are aware that many youngsters do not receive the provision or support they require

due to funding issues and lack of parental awareness of their rights.

96% of special educational needs tribunals are found in favour of the child or young adult

when they or their parents/carers have taken their local authority to court.

SEN Opportunities believes that schools and charities have a part to play in supporting

fair access for all young people regardless of their background.

This needs to be achieved alongside maintaining good relationships with other stakeholders.
